Kronospan Foundation Scholarship 2017/2018
Kronospan Foundation enabled another talented young person to live their dream and study at Babson College, USA completing a fully paid four-year Bachelor’s Degree.
Once a year, the Kronospan Scholarship provides the opportunity for talented young people from disadvantaged families in Central and Eastern Europe to gain a Bachelor’s degree at the top-ranking entrepreneurial university.
The 2017/18 application cycle for the coveted scholarship was very special as the number of applications increased substantially, and the approach to the selection process was also adapted to involve more personal time with the candidates. Recruiting activities were kicked off with Road Shows in the chosen focus countries, where the students not only received an in-depth presentation on Babson and its curriculum but also got to speak with Kronospan Foundation representatives. After a round of interviews, selected candidates went on to participate in Micro Labs, where they got a first glimpse of Kronospan and were involved in numerous exercises encouraging them to speak out and present their personalities.
The chosen candidate for 2018 is Martina Garabedian from Bulgaria who will start her studies at Babson in August 2018.
Throughout their time at Babson, all Kronospan Scholars will be offered summer and winter internship programmes at Kronospan beginning after the first year and positioning them within the company after the completion of the scholarship.
Kronospan and the Kronospan Foundation are proud to work with a strong partner like Babson College to educate and train future leaders. Since the scholarship programme has started in 2011, we have been honoured to send five very bright and promising candidates to Babson College: Claudia Ogrezeanu and Kamil Altintasoglu from Romania, Lizaveta Litvinava from Belarus, Hai Péter Pham from Hungary and Daniel Gasperowicz from Poland.
