There are many important milestones in Kronospan's history that reflect the company’s strong commitment to fulfilling the needs of its customers. So we are very proud to announce that our Kronobuild® brand for construction and building materials is now complemented with a new product – plywood.
Produced in our plant in Smorgon, Belarus, the versatile and highly workable building material is manufactured by layering thin sheets of veneer from coniferous wood species, which guarantees a long-lasting premium product.
The plant is producing 4 different grades that differ in their application and the quality and color of their decorative surface. Our plywood is available in thicknesses from 9 to 40 mm in 6 different boards’ dimensions. They are used in projects with high-quality, high-strength material requirements: from furniture production and wall paneling to demanding exterior constructions and formwork.
The constant research we do allows us to offer cost-effective solutions and a complete product portfolio suited for the building and construction industries. Our plywood is an environmentally friendly product made from renewable raw materials and we believe it will respond to the globally growing demand for plywood for decorative and structural uses.
The plant’s planned annual production of plywood amounts 180,000 cubic meters and the main export markets are Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, as well as expanding internationally to all countries where Kronospan is operating.
